Tourch is a partnered program that prepares High School students for their future success in College and Workforce. Our program is free to youth in exchange for their persistency and dedication. There are no Academic requirements to enter the Tourch program.
Must be a High School student.
College prep

Our College preparatory section prepares students for their future college coursework, while still attending high school. The mix of traditional high school courses, combined with higher academic standards, is designed to establish a solid foundation for youth as they get ready for their future college careers.

College Tours
​
Youth are more drawn and motivated when experience is hands-on. While on College Campuses, youth will get more than a College Tour, they will receive an Experience! From local City attractions to College culture, youth will have the chance to create their own plans with no limits. We work closely with Colleges and University advisors to help each youth individually determine their path. We help with scholarship applications and provide all that is needed for each youth to operate in their maximum potential.

Tourch understands that doing the job is the easiest part when employed. Majority of issues have the underlying seed of bad communication. We not only provide job training, resume building and professional attire, but we also teach work/communication Etiquette. Working as a youth invests discipline, people skills and money management.

For more than a century, historically black colleges and universities were the only schools that were open to people of color. Today, they give thousands of students the opportunity to pursue a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or Ph.D. in an environment that fosters, encourages and expects black excellence.

Like many of the African-American and minority students who have signed up for HBCU college tours, you will find that they will provide you with a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit the historically black colleges and universities that are spread out across the United States. In the process, you will build a stronger connection to the people, programs, and atmosphere at each school…and the legacy of strength, pride, and transformation that has shaped millions of African Americans’ lives!
